Great shot! Lovely contrast and light makes this very artsy. smile
John Prior: Thank you Frances
I love how you've captured this - wonderful jar, I love these old clay jars!
John Prior: Yes they are rather wonderful, chips and all.

Good image I am dreaming of rhubarb pie with custard
John Prior: Good man, rhubarb crumble for me please smile
What a concept! Might work here but the hard freezing might not allow anything to live through the winter.
John Prior: I suppose it is the lack of light that brings them on?
I saw some of these in the kitchen garden at Calke Abbey and wondered what they are for, now I know.
John Prior: Yes they must be quite old, don't remember ever seeing any at garden centres.
Ange made a Hanbury Hall Rhubarb Cake a few days ago. A recipe from our local NT house. It was very tasty and the rhubarb was from our garden. My mum always reckoned forced rhubarb didn't have any flavour!
John Prior: Yes I like Rhubarb, there was a lot here, I wonder if it gets used?
This is lovely John, I love the pot with the pattern and imperfections.
I like the brightness around the edges...
Very nice high keytones.
