The Cellarium

Fountains Abbey - The Cellarium. Shot with and without figures, I decided the figures added a little something. Handheld at 1/4 second so the in-built stabalistion on the 10-18 mm lens is doing quite well.

I do like that the people show scale and give a focal point. It's an amazing place and I love your POV!
John Prior: Yes I agree Elizabeth, thank you.

The figures are important John, they give it scale. But what architecture this is!
John Prior: Yes I think so, people can make thing look untidy, but these ladies add to it.

What a fascinating place John, like a giant forest..
John Prior: It is well worth a visit Chad
Great picture of this wonderful place
John Prior: Thanks a lot Bill
Wow. I would like to see this in person. Fabulous, John.
John Prior: Not far from Bolton Abbey also, well worth visiting both
This is absolutely beautiful John..
John Prior: A place well worth visiting
I've got my version of this place that I took last year coming up in a few weeks time. I found it an amazing building but a very difficult place to photograph with such low light levels.
John Prior: I was getting some bright light from the side, If I had not been on autopilot at the time, I would have upped the ISO a little from 100 for a more respectable shutter speed smile
