photoblog image Docklands

A few pockets retain their old industrial charm. Don't get me wrong, I like the docklands, but somehow the character of these places that has developed over many years gets lost in the regeneration and keeping the odd dock crane as a sculpture seems somewhat feeble and expected. The Olympic park can be seen in the background just right of centre.

John Prior: Thanks a lot Vintage smile
Part of the city most don't see. Your image is nice and sharp!
John Prior: A new lens that I thought about for quite a time, as it was more money than I wanted to pay, but it stays on the camera most of the time now.

It looks like a model train set except for boats, John. I like getting the overview like this.
John Prior: It is quite a thrill getting view points like this smile

This place has been largely transformed John. Chad & I walked through the area before the Olympic turmoil began, and it was a different world
John Prior: Yes the magic has faded, soulless developers smile

flawless treatment. what a fantastic view
John Prior: Thank you Ayush
From up high, the scene on the right looks like a playground sand box.
John Prior: Very true, I would have liked all those toys in my sand pit smile
There seems to be so much to look at, the railway line is of course the high spot for me.
John Prior: If I had been really lucky I would have got a train on it also smile
wow John you have capture this amazingly!
i like that little island just past the buildings ... would make a cool island for condos! or would that ruin the neighborhood vibe?
