A fine retirement job for an old tractor, hauling boats about on the beach
John Prior: A grand job, and must be relatively easy to maintain, I doubt if the same can be said for modern tractors.

You can see how the sea air has attacked this tractor John.
John Prior: Still plenty of life left yet, made from decent steel.

Truly, a sight we so not see here at all. Perhaps tractors are just too busy.
John Prior: These are very old tractors, modern one's are huge in size and cost, I can't see them ending up making interesting subjects on beaches smile
One does wonder how these old tractors keep running bearing in mind all the weather and tides and sand they get all the time.
John Prior: I suppose Brian like cars of old they are relatively easy to maintain and basically simple and don't depend on electronics as more modern ones would. Imagine how long electronic circuits would last in this environment!
I like the way the engine has been wrapped up John grin

I like the protection on the engine of the tractor to keep any blowing sand out. The Q plate makes the tractor's age difficult to work out.
Now this is a cool shot. I've never seen a tractor on a beach for any reason before.

I love this
great representation of this somewhat unusual (for me) find on a beach.
