Scroby Sands, Caister-on-Sea

Old and new power. Tractors have a second career as boat launchers all along the Norfolk coast. Scroby Sands has thirty 2-megawatt wind turbines offshore.

A delightful image. I hate those damn wind turbines but here they really make the composition work!

Love that old tractor. How do tractors launch boats?
John Prior: They drag the boats to the sea and recover them, often down steep shingle or soft sandy beaches
Complete with save the planet wind farm
Yes there are several places with these tractors, Sheringham and Cromer both come to mind.
John Prior: Yes every boat seemed to have its own Tractor, mind you these tractors are a lot smaller than the current ones, I wonder if they will get used in the same way? This was a wonderful long sandy beach just outside Great Yarmouth.
