A stunner! The clouds and water make this a beautiful landscape John.
I love the blue hues that pop out from the browning landscape!
Such wonderful tones and textures John, a fabulous landscape.

It looks exposed up there John
John Prior: Not a place to get caught out in the winter. My son did, found he had not allowed enough daylight to get back across the moor and had no torch with him, the short way back was blocked by deep snowdrifts, he had to call the police who sent the Calder Valley Rescue team to get him, pretty cold by the time they arrived and a lesson well learnt.

After seeing your reply to Chris, it makes you appreciate and respect this place that much more, John!
Grand landscape.John.
Simply beautiful John
Fine scenery but as your reply to Chris suggests, very wild at times.
John Prior: Yes frightening for him and us, I made a generous donation to Calder Valley Rescue, those volunteers do a great job.
Those seemingly alive waters make this a fine pic.
nice cool blues. looks like a pleasant walk around these parts
Very beautiful but very harsh.
