Stones and bones

Bolton Abbey Priory back in May. Is it just me, or do images display smaller on Shutterchance than they once did? 1200 pixels wide seems smaller now and i don't think my browser or monitor settings have changed. A bigger and better version on flickr

One superb image John! What year is the building? The graves make this even more captivating.

Impressive angle John, they need a window to keep the draft out.
The graveyard and the cathedral ruins against the gathering clouds make for a perfect gothic image.

Beautifully balanced photograph. I love the details and mood of the photograph. I love the huge arch at the front of the old priory.
A very fine old ruin isn't it.
John Prior: The setting also is a big bonus
I have a feeling you could be right. The Flick version has greater detail too.
John Prior: Thanks Bill, I'm pretty sure it has, I worked out images were displayed at a max of 1200 pixels wide when I started using Shutterchance, so uploaded at that size, now they are a lot smaller when compared to the ones uploaded from Photoshop at 1200 pixels and 100%. These look too small to me.
Great angles and a fine sky...
Wonderful view!
Very well illuminated shadows and a sky to match the ruins.
