Angling Spring Wood

Author Roald Dahl's local wood, he lived just down the steep lane in Great Missenden. In stories like 'Fantastic Mr Fox' he used the names of local farmers, Bunce, Bogis and Bean. The wood is being opened up and cleared at the moment.

The Wow effect is very strong on this photo John! I can feel the bark on the trees when looking at this capture.

It looks good John: a fine place for a spring walk in a couple of weeks

So this is the source of his inspiration perhaps.
What a shame that it is being cleared.
I guess it is a fine place to walk John.
