Tales from the river bank ll

The sun sets over the Thames at Bourne End. Enid Blyton had a home close by the river here, the Five Find-Outers books are based on this location. I remember reading the 'Island of Adventure' under the bedcovers with a torch as a child.

What a warm, cosy feel to this on a cold day in February, John! I don't know about Bourne End but I suddenly thought of Wind in the Willows.
John Prior: Thanks Ginnie smile

I read those too John. It looks calm here but the river seems very full
John Prior: Yes I liked the 'Adventure' series, a tad more grown up and exotic compared to the 'Famous Five' or 'Secret Seven' smile
