Old town and harbour with the modern city beyond. From Split we took the car ferry to stay at Supetar on the nearby Island of Brac.

It's actually a lovely city scape isn't it!

It looks very civilised John: amazingly the harbour isn't stuffed with pleasure craft & yachts
John Prior: The harbour continues round, very large with lots of RoRo ferries and cruise ships.
I love the terracotta colour of the roofage!
John Prior: Yes love these roofs also, very welcoming.

Gotta love all those tile roofs, John. I've been saying the same thing while seeing the aerial views of the Tour du France. Gorgeous.
John Prior: Yes traditional towns are wonderful, much more welcoming and pleasing.

Didn't they split from Jugoslavia?
John Prior: Stand in the corner and see me after the lesson Chad smile
I love the abrupt change of colour from top to bottom.
John Prior: Plenty of contrasts in a place like this smile
Nice to see the modern buildings are all pushed to the outskirts.
John Prior: Yes indeed, they did remind me of termites nests when seen from the sea.
