I'm a fan of marshes, John, and these are golden. As long as no heads are bobbing just under the surface!
John Prior: Thanks Ginnie, perfectly safe for Hobbits I think.

Hopefully they won't be allowed to quarry much further than this
John Prior: Thanks Chris, I suppose that much of what is interesting now is the result of abandoned workings. But I know what you mean.
Nice layered landscape there
John Prior: Thank you Chantal.

Super grab of landscape
John Prior: Thanks Vintage
What a shame about the quarry John. The landscape is beautiful.
John Prior: Thanks Frances, nature will win in the end.

Great shot - I love the way the clouds form the shadows over the hills in the background - gives so much contrast to the marshes.
Our marshes are turning that beautiful golden colour again.

That must be a valuable quarry site John, and once the hill is out of the way the view will be even better.
I like the range of colour in this John. There is something of the hand coloured b&w about it

The mine seems to blend in really well with its beautiful surroundings, lovely light again smile
A lovely scene in front of you John.
Look a wonderful spot for wildlife John. Love the sky and colours
Stunning landscape image! Love the curving stream and the beautiful mountains.
The lighting was lovely here!
The light is beautiful. This actually looks similiar (ok without the water) to some areas around Arizona.
This is a beautiful landscape and your composition John.... i even like where they cut out the rock at the quarry.... but it is a shame that the building spoils the view a bit....petersmile
