i don't think i've seen a garden of this style so lare. looks as if it goes on forever.
John Prior: This has all been renewed recently, again very much in the French style of the original.
What a beautiful scene! I wonder how many people it takes to keep it so well manicured?
John Prior: It has recently reopened after a lot of restoration work, English Heritage, like the National Trust have salaried staff, but rely on armies of volunteers to keep things going.

John Prior: Thanks Chris, it has been a big project for English Heritage, aided by funds from the Lottery and other benefactors like the John Paul Getty Charitable Trust.
