Christ Church, Oxford

Christ Church Meadows, from close to the position this was shot, James Sadler a university student in 1784 became the first Englishman to take off and fly in a hot air ballon. He had constructed the 170ft high ballon from silk lined with paper and heated by a fire strung under the canopy on an open grill. At the time it was thought to be powered by 'rarefied air' - which of course is not in short supply at Oxford.

Amazing architecture. I like how you've shot down the sidewalk and have the limbs hanging in view.
I went to Oxford more than twenty years ago, and I found this town so nice. This view reminds me this place.
Have a nice day.
