Illegal construction

Imagine owning a villa overlooking the sea and having something like this shoot up in front of you, in a residential area and without planning permission. You can see quite a few of these abandoned quick build concrete structures in the coastal towns, this one has been halted, according to the local guide, but she also said it can take years of wrangling to get these obstructions demolished.

That would be heartbreaking! You did a great job with the angle to include the foreground houses, construction then sky.
John Prior: Thanks T, it would take years off of one's life.

I have seen this sort of thing on a program Selling Houses
John Prior: Hi Vintage, yes I've also seen relocation programmes where people have bought into nightmares, in fact it has also happened to a cousin of mine, seeking a retirement home in Spain
It is a shame !!! Love the way you captured the colourful buildings and amazing sky with clouds. Where was this photograph taken ?
John Prior: Hi Laurette, this is in Almuñéca, Costa Del Sol. One does see cautionary tales on TV programmes about buying property in Spain.
We moan about the planners here but at least this sort of thing doesn't happen!
John Prior: Thanks Bill, too much power is given to local mayor's whose patronage can sometimes be bought
Criminal, John. I'm surprised it was let to get this far in construction before they were forced to stop.
John Prior: Thanks Beverly, yes indeed.

That is terrible John.
John Prior: Thanks Chad, safer to rent than buy I think.
Shame they couldn't of nipped it in the bud. Otherwise a lovely looking area.
John Prior: Thanks Janet, yes indeed.
I would emigrate John..Couldn't stand all the hassle.
John Prior: I agree Ron. Thanks.
My word I bet the people in the villas behind it are hopping mad.
John Prior: Thanks Brian, to put it mildly, and all the stress health threatening.
I would be heart broken if it was built in front of my villa smile
John Prior: Thanks Linda, yes indeed and very angry

such a shame. lovely expansive sky.
John Prior: Thanks Otto.
Without this building, the landscape should be more beautiful. Great sky and colours.
Have a nice day.
John Prior: Thanks Dom, yes a blot on the landscape
