Nice summerlike location - but even more a phantastic b&w conversion. How do you manage this? The greyscale in the sky is really awesome.
John Prior: Thanks Grapf. Processing: Photoshop CS3, Black and white convertor, using custom adjustment of the RGB channels and a layer mask with 2 ND grads angled at top and at the base of image.
Brilliantly crisp image John.
John Prior: Many thanks Chris, I was well pleased with this bargain ebay lens.

A fine study John: these things sell for a small fortune!
John Prior: Thanks Chris, Yes indeed, the value perhaps is the remembered endless summer days of one's youth smile
Unusual to see them in black and white.
The thought of that sand blowing in under the doors fills me with dread.
John Prior: Thanks Shelia, I just remember that half the beach ended up in the car when the kids were young smile
Summer days are gone!
Lovely composition and conversion.
John Prior: Thank you Richard. Huts always seem to promise endless summer days.
I like this John it works well in B&W and presumably is from the same rank as your colour shot a few days ago.
John Prior: Thanks Brian, yes a black and white conversion in CS3

The greyscale makes it feel like the beach is closed for the season. Without seeing colors, I'm seeing details I missed before.
John Prior: Thanks Sherri, very pleased with this bargain 17-35 mm lens from ebay.

lovely contrasts with the black and white.
John Prior: Thank you Leanne
very crisp shot, looks good in mono
John Prior: Thanks Derek.
Nice mono, I'm guessing you converted this from a colour image.

I like the way you've cropped so the disturbance in the sand leads into the picture,.
John Prior: Thanks EJ. Processing: Photoshop CS3, Black and white convertor, using custom adjustment of the RGB channels and a layer mask with 2 ND grads angled at top and at the base of image.
Cool shot, John. Great contrast & light!
John Prior: Thank you Dave.
