Springtime at Alnwick

Alnwick Castle, a Harry Potter location and a private family home, lavish pristine state rooms that feel welcoming and less restricted than you would experience at a National Trust property for example.

I guess everyone dreams of living in a castle... I like the oncoming wave of daffodils...
John Prior: Supposedly every mans home is smile

A Harry Potter location, really??? Wow. Now you've got me curious as to where and in what movie. I suppose I can Google it. Thanks for the info, John. What a view, especially with all those daffodils!

Would make a very difficult jigsaw puzzle
John Prior: Yes the daffodils could lead to madness smile
Someone truly lives there? They must own an oil refinery somewhere. Stunning shots with that gorgeous floral lead in.
John Prior: I think they have their heads screwed on. So many inheritors of stately homes had no will or idea on how to turn them into successful money making enterprises, that's why most got sold to the National Trust.

John Prior: Yes, the daffodil army has the castle under siege smile
lovely colours here John... fantastic!
John Prior: Thank you Aderonke
It is a magnificent place anyway but with that carpet of daffodils it looks even better.
John Prior: Must be the best time of the year, although the valley between is very attractive.
Fine view of this wonderful castle John
John Prior: Thanks Bill
Three full layers of viewing with great textures... makes for a wonderful shot.
