What a terrific background John. Is that the cob back there where the trains run over?
John Prior: Yes Chris, great views from the cob also. We were lucky with the low tide evenings with really good light.
I love the threatening sky
John Prior: The mixture of dark sky and bright sunlight is always good.
Lovely depth to this picture John
John Prior: Thanks Bill, really nice light always helps.
What is a cob? I only know it as something that holds corn to make it easy to eat. I love the light on the hills.
John Prior: The sea wall you see in the background that separates the sea from the river and marshes on the other side, it also carries a road and narrow gauge railway to the other side of the bay.

Delightful foreground colours against the greyer background John.
John Prior: Thanks Chad, the light was great.
Lovely John, I took a whole load of shots when we stayed in a harbour-side apartment last year. Where you, like us, surprised just how far out the tide went?
John Prior: Yes it did, we went for an evening walk along the cob up into the hills beyond the railway sheds, lovely light, the views on both sides of the cob were great.
