I have never heard of St Hellen, that double L makes her sound obscure
John Prior: Ooops should be one. St. Helen was the mother of St. Constantine the Great
Is this part buried? I know people were smaller then but they would have had to have been tiny to get in there
John Prior: Shots before 2004 show a collapsed wall, so no doubt it has been repaired a few times since Roman times

What a setting John.
John Prior: In 1987 Cape Cornwall was purchased for the nation by the H. J. Heinz Company. So Heinz put those beans to good use smile
Love this wall with the beautiful, fat cross. Great setting.
A somewhat smaller ruin than the one I'm showing this week John, but none the less interesting and impressive.
I like the mixture of small and large rocks...
Seems like a great place to meditate. nice framing
The cross has a great view. Nicely taken.
