Goodness - that can't be good. Does this kind of flooding occur often here - and does it recede fairly quickly?

That turnstile seems a little pointless at the moment...
It is becoming an all too familiar annual sight. Perhaps planting trees, dredging rivers and keeping ditches maintained would help....and stop building on flood plains
My word this doesn't look a lot different from where I used to live along the Cambridgeshire Ouse at St.Ives, when it was like this every winter.

We are all astonished and a bit in awe of such scenes... until of course the flood waters get inside peoples houses
