Thames in Flood

Near Hambleden Lock and Weir. The new wellies came in handy, I've not seen so much flooding at this location before. A happy new year to all.

I think this picture sums up 2012 very nicely John. A happy new (drier) year to you too
John Prior: Certainly a wet one and rather mild, not like the previous two years, I do hope we get a cold spell. Happy new year.
Cheers!
John Prior: Yes Cheers indeed smile

Pollarded willows are great aren't they - lots over my way! Nice shot
John Prior: Yes I agree about the willows, they seem to be surrounded by more folk law than other trees.
Cheers John - your image certainly sums the year up well!
John Prior: Shot yesterday Fred, it was a relief to get out and the flooding made it rather exciting.
Hope you get a drier year this year and we get more rain - but not too much. A lovely image to show your very wet year.
John Prior: The weather is so unpredictable, but I would like some Ice and snow, I hate missing out on proper seasons.

Happy New Year to you, too, John. I hope you all can dry off soon!
John Prior: Shot yesterday Ginnie, was glad to get out and the floods were quite exiting in the way they changed familiar places.

Oh my, what a weather (but a fascinating photo!)- on the continent it is raining since some days, too - no winter in sight - but we should look forward to sunny days in 2013 - A Happy New Year to you and yours!
John Prior: Yes Philine no proper winter in sight, unlike the two previous years, looks like the set of winter tyres was a waste of money smile
A very happy new year to you too John. It sounds as if we are due for a couple of weeks of dry weather in the new year....let's hope
John Prior: I hope so Bill, anything but rain will suffice. Happy new year.
My word they are well under water. Have a very happy 2013 John.
John Prior: Luckily no homes affected by this, It does make the familiar seem interesting and remind one that nature rules.
