In the Evening (When the Sun Goes Down) Lyrics by Big Bill Broonzy. I was very much into country blues in the mid sixties and saw many of the greats like Lightnin Hopkins, Sleepy John Estes and Sony Boy Williamson at the American folk blues festivals in London. These elderly men were treated like ambasadors in Europe, a bit different from back home.

Beautiful capture John! I can't speak of these greats - except for their legend. I was not born yet when they were so popular.

A terrific shot John: those sunbeams are a delight. I never got into country music myself - and it's too late now as I sit here listening to Chopin...

This is delightful John. I like blues music but not so much the country variety.
Another excellent capture John, stunning colours!
I think i appreciate them more now than then. Not exactly my sort of music but you can admire their talent. Like Jazz which does nothing for me but there are some brilliant musicians

Oh good picture too
I love Sonny Boy Williamson and Bill Broonzy very much. Help Me is one of my favorite all time songs. Your shot is beautiful. A good ole tune would be lovely to hear while staring at this marvelous, spectacular sunset.
What a fine sunset John. I saw quite a few of the Negro blues singers during the mid-60's at places like the Marquee Jazz Club in Soho, I was really in to that sort of music at the time.
