I bet it looks the same now that October is here, John? It's had its heyday and will now rest for next year...I assume.

If I can get over the forest floor, I want to do a series on fields This is a nice shot of a quite wet field.
John Prior: We will have to wait a little longer for the autumn fungi
Left open and ready for nature to do it's work!
John Prior: Ploughing seems to be a bit of a novelty, this farmer that I know usually goes the min-tillage route.
A touch of frost to break up the clods and then it will be time to sow for next year.
John Prior: Probably the harrow and seed drill next.
One crop gathered in ready for the next one to be sown.
John Prior: Indeed farmers do a good job in managing the countryside.
