Totally gorgeous and idyllic, John! To be honest, this is one of the reasons why I love winter photography of landscapes: you can see so much more!
John Prior: Yes very true Ginnie, I also like the starkness and clarity that good winter light gives.

Lovely John: the English countryside in hibernation
John Prior: A nicely preserved pocket, one notes that they avoided the Chequers estate with the proposed HS2 route.
nice overview
John Prior: Thanks Chantal.
Rather like an old-master painting. Lovely colouring.
John Prior: Yes I suppose so, thanks a lot Sheila smile
The village church and two thatched cottages tucked in beside it, how delightfully English.
John Prior: Yes Brian, far better than HS2.

Merry old England can be seen here basking in the glowing warmth of the sun on stone.
John Prior: At least it can kid itself Chad smile
The thatched roof cottages give this already lovely image added appeal, John.
John Prior: Thanks a lot Beverly

John Prior: Yes, I wonder If one is nervous of fire, but they do look great and no doubt well insulated.
