The old caravan

Dungeness. I love the surreal landscapes around this stretch of Kent coast.

Soon as I saw this I thought it has to be Dungeness. It is a wonderfully strange place that is like nowhere else in the UK
John Prior: I totally agree, thanks Bill

It looks as isolated as our desert out west in America, John! And just as beautiful, I might add!
John Prior: Not quite as large, but very interesting, cheers Ginnie

It may be fading but just look at that lichen and those valerian plants blooming away in full colour John!
John Prior: A garden designer would would be hard pressed to match it, thanks Chris
The really captures the bleakness of Dungeness. Yet with those flowers and old timbers in the foreground, it is probably someone's property. I love to visit Dungeness, but I have to admire those who chose to live there.
John Prior: Thanks Sheila, yes it is a place apart with great character.

What a lonely spot ... thought it was Texas!!!
John Prior: Not quite as big, but it does have a frontier feel to it, thanks Crash.
One less to be stuck behind! Great picture.
John Prior: Very true, mind you there are plenty of other things to get stuck behind. Cheers.
I have never been here but it always looks to be a photographers paradise. That caravan has seen better days.
