A real nice one here John. Is Chequres, used the same as our Camp David, which is used by our President.
John Prior: Not so much for holidays but as a weekend retreat for entertaining visitors and guests, only about 25 miles from London. The house was given to the nation as a country retreat for the serving Prime Minister in 1917.

A "sea" of grain now makes sense, John!
John Prior: Thanks Ginnie, the chalk in the soil adds contrast.
This is a very fine composition John with the hill forming a wedge between the sky and the foreground
John Prior: Thanks Bill, it's been a good autumn

That field looks recently harvested John.
John Prior: Recently sown with winter wheat, thanks Chad
I like this John, I guess there must be a sort of hidden valley or dip below the edge of the pasture.
John Prior: Thanks Brian, yes some nice curves on this field.

a finely composed photo - I like the fields after the harvest! I have to check out the places (you mention) on my GB map.
John Prior: Thank you Philine, all part of the Chilterns, not far from London and other areas of suburban sprawl, pity the government wants to spoil a chunk of it close to this with HS2.

I like the simplicity of the shapes - almost geometric.
John Prior: Thank you Anniedog
