Java Wharf, Shad Thames

Liquid mud, I watched a swan swim in this as it would not support its weight. I wonder what hidden treasure lies beneath?

afraid to see what treasures are embedded in that muck!
John Prior: Thanks Crash, some amazing things have been found in the Thames.
Lovely! The Thames never looked so dramatic, especially cracking in black and white.
John Prior: Thank you Frances

Gosh, I didn't think it was the Thames. Its a great photo and I bet there is all sorts embedded down there.
John Prior: An inlet near Tower Bridge, yes no doubt heaps of history here. Thanks Debb
Awesome! I had no idea such a place might exist - and with your treatment it looks like something out of the movie "Water World"
John Prior: Thanks Elizabeth

An amazing picture John: it is so tidal
John Prior: When I worked in London, I often went on the low tide 'beaches' at lunchtime for a scout around, there were often people digging.
Your treatment gives this a slightly ominous look which I like!
John Prior: Thanks Bill, I think lots of bits of the Thames in London do have a slight edge to them, perhaps it is more easy to imagine the past.
Striking humid atmosphera. Drama in balconies.
John Prior: Thanks a lot for comment and visit

I don't like to think what could be lurking beneath!! Great treatment, I would never have guessed it was the Thames smile
John Prior: Thanks Linda, until nine years ago I always worked in London, I've always enjoyed exploring the river there. Many a lunch hour walk.
If I was a swan I think I would steer clear. Good image John
John Prior: I was surprised to see the swan, but it did not seem to mind the mud, would soon get clean when the tide came in.
Excellent presentation John, I guess there is quite a fall in water level when the tide is out here.
John Prior: A big difference between high and low tide, I suspect this dock would have been dredged when it was active, no doubt the silt has built up.

the subtle color makes really lends itself to the scene.
John Prior: Thanks a lot Sherri
A great composition and end result John.

I been around Shad Thames but never discovered this view.
John Prior: Thank you Richard. Just follow the waterfront walk, a light swing bridge crosses the entrance to this dock.
Great process! his one is a jewel! I love it!
Have a nice day.
John Prior: Thanks a lot Dom, and for all the other comments.
