John Prior: Thanks a lot Chantal.
I like this viewpoint, shame about the two T.V.aerials.
John Prior: Thanks Brian, very few aerials really, I can not tell a lie (not today anyway)smile

this is a beautiful place, like your composition with the wall against the rest of the city.
John Prior: Thanks Otto.
Hello John
Ii have just gone through your previous posts of Matera and they are all excellent....i like your framing of this angle....it shows that the road and wall had likely been built in the 3rd century.

I have not been able to visit this week....i had SC problems for a few days and my visits all ended up in that virtual black hole.....
then i spent 12 hours Wed and Thru helping my son (the chef) cater to an 80 person conference.... now i should have some time rest and to visit more often....petersmile
John Prior: Thanks Peter, Yes Shutterchance has been annoying recently, it also keeps signing me out, even though it is set to stay logged in on my computer.
stunning shot grin there's so much detail, and the bright blue sky is just wonderful smile x

This has so much texture, and the geraniums a brilliant punctuation of color.

The flowers somehow bring this place into the present...which still blows my mind!
I like the little spots of red created by the flower; beautiful with the yellow stones of Matera.
Have a nice day.

it's like the structures are part of the hillside. as if they were carved out. i like this view over the wall with the flowers.
A real place to discover, a Greeting.
