A dramatic place John: were you on a bridge?
John Prior: Thanks, no Chris, from the town.

I hope that's not their only source of water, John! What a beautiful sight for their eyes...and ours.
John Prior: Thanks Ginnie, good question, I don't think so, In the past Italians seemed to store rain water in underground cisterns.
not much will grow there, so rockie
John Prior: Thanks Chantal. It seemed to have plenty of the things one associates with this sort of climate.
I guess that whole gorge will have been scoured out by that stream in the bottom, a magnificent work of nature.
John Prior: Thanks Brian, yes indeed, the power of water over forgotten years.
Fantastic place and view smile
John Prior: Thanks Linda, yes indeed smile

beautiful scene, I like the water leading us through the image.
John Prior: Thanks Otto, all carved out by that river over time.
