The free concert

Sunday afternoon In the civic square of Almuñécar. The ultrawide pulls it all in, but does nothing for real estate values.

Cool ! Quite a big audiance!
John Prior: Thanks Sidney, The youngsters were very good, a mixture of Spanish and Belgian on an exchange visit.
I'm struck by how flat that building looks (I know it's the lens) - it's pretty neat to look at!
John Prior: Thanks, the lens does do strange things to buildings.

The one fa├žade looks exactly that, John...a fa├žade! How beautiful and bright.
John Prior: Thanks Ginnie, perhaps they borrowed it from a Hollywood set smile

Well attended too John.
John Prior: Thanks Chad, It was well attended, a concert given by Spanish and Belgian youth orchestras, and a good mixed programme.
The wide lens makes a great picture here John. It wouldn't be as much fun if you straightened it all up
John Prior: Thanks Bill it does add a litte bit of OTT.
Well captured John. The building stands out nicely.
John Prior: Thanks Laurette smile
It would have been fun to see a few of the tenants of that building sitting out on their balconies enjoying the free concert along with all the other folks you've captured here, John.

Really like this wide angle view.
John Prior: Those were the council offices, but the Spanish and Belgian youth orchestras were using the building.
Now I would have had to stop and listen regardless of taking any photos, what sort of music did they play John?
John Prior: Thanks Brian, A very mixed program, classic, Abba, musicals, Youth Orchestras from both Spain and Belgium took it it in turns to perform with their own conductors, very entertaining
I like the wide angle lens. I am thinking of getting a converter to add on to my lens but don't know much about it. Does .7 mean anything to you because I saw one that looked quite good at this number
John Prior: Thanks Janet, not quite sure what .7 means, is this made by your camera maker? Usually better
to stick with converters from the same stable as they are usually better match.
Beautiful place with this building! I like the way people pay attention to the music. Nice angle.
Have a nice day.
John Prior: Thanks Dom, it was entertaining.
Very popular by the looks, the music must have been good smile
John Prior: Thanks Linda, a varied programme, very entertaining, the youth orchestras fom both Spain and Belgium were very good.
