Balcony view, Almu├▒├ęca, Spain

With the superwide from our hotel room, the promenade was apparently only finished recently after years of work

Again a good photo. The best thing I've ever done en la Costa del Sol is to rent a car and leave for Andalucia. smile
John Prior: I don't think I'd want to be here in the height of the season, but it was quiet and relaxed in October and also a good base also for exploring the rest of Andalucia from smile

Wonderful wide-angle shot, John, with a view of the penthouses. This looks so...Mediterranean!
John Prior: Hardly a penthouse smile But the Hotel Helios proved to be fine for us, we ended up on the 9th floor, all the rooms had great views and the floor above was just the paved roof with loungers and solarium.

Interesting John: virtually all the buildings here are modern
John Prior: The older part of town is behind us in this shot, although seafront building, mainly hotels, tend to be newer. Almu├▒├ęca is not that big, and was very peaceful in October.

I can't help but think of the Spanish property crisis.
John Prior: Yes indeed Chad, and also a bit of free for all when it comes to planning control, as a post later this week will show.
Love how the roofs become another room.
John Prior: Yes Mary, good weather seems almost guaranteed there.
Great views you had here John..As you say, it sure looks quiet.
John Prior: Thanks Ron, it was, very laid back and relaxing.

John Prior: Thanks Beat, really good shots on your blog.
Lovely shot John. Love the calming effect of the sea and blue sky with clouds in the background.
John Prior: Thank you Laurette
It does look quite inviting without the summer hoards John.
John Prior: Yes Brian, would not want to be at any resort when it was busy smile
That is quite a view John
John Prior: Thanks Bill
