Elan Valley, Wales

Fast changing weather on Wednesday as I drove back from Aberystwyth, taking my favourite route through the Elan Valley, before rejoining the A44. it proved to be productive and very few people were about.

Masterful positioning and composition, John.
John Prior: Thanks Graeme, I was very lucky with the weather, a brief bright period in between the rain.
Been there! Been there! And I even managed to recognise it before I saw the title!

Fantastically photogenic scenery, which you've captured at its' autumnal best.
John Prior: Thank you Ellie, I never get tired of this place or the old mine workings nearby at Cwmystwyth.

I like how the road snakes it's way around. The wall built like that is quite a feat.
John Prior: Thanks Sherri, this is a viaduct across the reservoir.

Love those curves over the dam John
John Prior: Thanks Chris, this is the Garreg Ddu viaduct that crosses the Caban Coch reservoir and leads to the larger and higher Claerwen reservoir.
Fine shot John. I love the way the wall colour mirrors the colour of the hills
