Hughenden valley view

From Friday before the heavy snow on Saturday, the light stayed dull and flat over the weekend so hopefully better today. The government want to ruin countryside like this with HS2.

I am always so eager to open up your page, John, and you never disappoint!
John Prior: Thanks Ginnie, very generous smile
Very long shadows... the sun does not rise so high in December?

There is still is too much blood in my coffee and I had to take several looks before I could decide whether the clouds are mountains or not. Anyhow they surround the valley in a very nice way. Good shot!
John Prior: Thanks Pekka, yes I liked the clouds, they do give the feel of a mountain range smile

Crisp and clear

Fine landscape shot John. I have a feeling this new high speed train is a very expensive disaster in the making
John Prior: Thanks Bill, it is a vanity project, the money would be better spent upgrading the existing rail network.
How pretty! This certainly shows beautiful, late day sunshine.
John Prior: Thanks Mary, exactly right.
Beautiful landscape under th snow: there's a beautiful light over there! Really nice.
